I visited one of our best customer’s job sites in Austin recently. What makes him one of our best customers? The degree of consideration he gives to every detail of the job including materials, staging, and communication. I can’t say enough good things about working with Brian Long Custom Homes. He is kind, funny, and respectful, and very intelligent. He is a master carpenter and mill-right and uses his mastery to be very present in every decision on site. Brian’s work ethic, attention to detail, and love of life is an inspiration to us here at Eastside. He has a very healthy sense of competition in just wanting to do his best all the time. The business name Brian Long Custom Homes has just changed from Elegant Estate Homes. We are honored to be his lumberyard of choice. Keep an eye on his website to see better quality photographs of the finished house and gardens.
Of course this house was designed by a very precise mind as well: James D. LaRue Architects. As a sculptor, I am always looking at things dimensionally in space. I couldn’t decide which viewpoint was my favorite–and I find that deeply inspiring. Here are some photographs of this amazing house under construction in west Austin.
