Helping Eagle Scouts Earn Their Badges

Eastside Lumber & Decking supports Eagle Scouts through mentoring and supplying materials for their built projects. To receive an Eagle Scout Badge, the young men have to design a project that helps their community. They learn how to get the help they need to make it happen. The goal is to become competent and independent.  Local Eagle Scouts receive hours of advice, donations and discounts from Eastside Lumber & Decking in order to build their own ideas. Projects have included a bocce ball court at McBeth Recreation Center in Zilker Park and a playscape for the children of families waiting for services at Highland Lakes Family Center.
