Randy Meek, owner of Eastside Lumber & Decking, serves on the National Association of the Remodeling Industry Austin (NARI) Board of Directors and Chairs the Community Service Committee. NARI volunteers and Eastside employees and customers raised the walls for a house in the Sendero Hills Neighborhood for Austin Habitat for Humanity in 2012.
Because of his commitment to giving back and modeling that for others in the building trades, NARI Austin honored Randy Meek with an award for Community Service at the Evening of Excellence awards night in November 2012.
Straight & Level is an Eastside customer. Straight & Level’s Owner is John Martin who is the current President for NARI. John Martin used his love of swimming to support Colin’s Hope to raise awareness about water safety to prevent children from drowning. Eastside helped him reach more than his goal of $7,500 as a sponsor of his 9 mile swim on Lady Bird Lake.
